As an Emergency Room Physician, you'll be at the forefront of life-saving medical interventions and critical patient care. Your responsibilities will include: rapidly assessing and treating patients in emergency situations, stabilizing critical conditions, and determining next steps for ongoing care; diagnosing medical conditions and initiating treatment regimens, medications, and emergency procedures; ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging to support timely clinical decisions; clearly communicating treatment plans to patients and their families, ensuring they understand their care path; collaborating with healthcare teams, paramedics, and specialists to provide comprehensive emergency care; maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring patient confidentiality and accurate medical documentation; efficiently utilizing electronic health records (EHRs) to document patient encounters and treatment orders; adapting to high-pressure and unpredictable emergency scenarios with a clear, methodical approach; performing additional duties as assigned to meet operational and contract requirements.
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school. Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in an emergency room or critical care setting. Active, unrestricted physician license with favorable credentialing. Current certifications in: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); Basic Life Support (BLS); Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Ability to thrive in high-pressure, unpredictable, and fast-paced environments. Flexibility to adapt to shift changes and evolving operational needs.
Work is primarily performed in a fast-paced emergency medical setting. Ability to stand for prolonged periods and respond quickly to emergency situations. Ability to work under high-stress conditions while managing multiple critical cases.
