Job Description Job Description Confidential – Executive Chef (New Upscale, Event-Focused Concept) Chicago, IL and Milwaukee, WI openings A new, upscale restaurant and event-driven concept coming to Chicago is seeking an accomplished Executive Chef to lead all culinary operations. This is a unique opportunity to help build a high-caliber kitchen from the ground up while shaping the culinary identity of an exciting new venue. The ideal candidate is an inspiring, hands-on leader with 7 years of progressive culinary experience with 3 years in an Execuitve Chef role - in high-volume, upscale, or fine-dining environments. Strong event execution experience—banquets, private dining, and custom menu development—is essential. We are looking for someone who is passionate about elevating guest experiences, developing teams, and operating with the highest standards of consistency, creativity, and professionalism. Key Responsibilities: Lead culinary vision, concept execution, and menu development for both à la carte dining and private events Oversee all BOH operations including ordering, cost controls, sanitation, and scheduling Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing culinary team Partner closely with ownership and FOH leadership to ensure seamless event execution Maintain exceptional quality, presentation standards, and operational efficiency Qualifications: 7 years of culinary experience in upscale, fine dining, or event-driven environments Proven success in high-volume production and premium culinary execution Strong financial acumen, including food cost management and labor oversight Creative, organized, and committed to excellence in guest service and hospitality Company Description With 32 years in the recruiting industry and offices nationwide, EHS RECRUITING COMPANY has placed thousands of candidates nationally and internationally.
