**Job Title: General Production Worker 19.00 - 21.50/hr** **Job Description** As a General Production Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our packaging line. You will be responsible for adhering to all food-related GMP and SOP guidelines, packing dry powdered contents for shipment, and ensuring product quality. Your role will also involve handling ingredients correctly, checking weights, and maintaining sanitation practices of the equipment. **Responsibilities** + Follow all food-related GMP and SOP guidelines. + Pack items on the lines for shipment, ensuring no damage occurs. + Correctly use ingredients for mixing and verify weights. + Record all lot and bag numbers accurately. + Maintain sanitation practices of equipment due to food packaging. + Keep the work area clean. + Lift and shift weights of 50-55 lbs consistently. + Work in confined spaces and at heights, such as catwalks above machines. **Essential Skills** + Ability to lift 50-55 lbs consistently. + Willingness to train on forklift usage in the future. + Previous machine operation experience in a manufacturing setting. + Basic understanding of batching, recipe reading, and packaging. + Mechanical aptitude for basic maintenance tasks. + Knowledge of GMP is essential. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to read and write legibly. + Math skills involving decimals and fractions. + Experience in batch mixing or recipe reading. **Why Work Here?** We offer bi-weekly pay, benefits through United Healthcare starting after 30 days, and a 401k match up to 6%. This is a food-grade, GMP-required facility where certain areas may be hot, although the mixing area is air-conditioned. Shifts are 12 hours, with a schedule of Monday to Wednesday and potential for overtime on Thursday. In the future, shifts may expand to four days a week. Uniforms and steel-toed boots are required, and safety is a priority in this facility with many stairs and walking involved. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Defiance, OH. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
