Job Description

This is an entry level position that will work with the Senior Estimator to train and grow their skillset. This role requires the successful candidate to provide accurate quantity take-offs of reinforcing steel (rebar) for a variety of cast-in-place concrete construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for viewing the Scope of Work, Project Drawings, Specifications, and Addenda for a variety of Lump Sum Cast-in-Place Concrete projects to ensure all necessary and relevant information for preparing of a Reinforcing Steel bid Quotation will be provided by the bid deadline.



Job Duties

• Completes detailed take-off of reinforcing steel for a variety of lump sum projects by the bid deadline.
• Reviews scope of work, specifications, and addendums for respective projects to ensure accurate breakdown of material as required.
• Reviews and makes changes to estimates as per post-bid addendums
• Prints drawings, reports as required in completing bid process
• Use estimating software for rebar take-off, and Plan Swift software for on-screen viewing and takeoff
• Communicate with contractors to meet hard deadlines.
• Take sales calls and process orders

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-Secondary education in Civil/Construction/Architectural Technician Program.
• No experience necessary, 2 year degree preferred
