LabVIEW System Integrator

Sierra Peaks is seeking a System Integrator with a strong background in the LabVIEW programming language. Sierra Peaks has a world-class LabVIEW integration team and is a certified National Instruments (NI) Alliance Partner. Candidates must have significant LabVIEW work experience, must be a U.S. Citizen, and must be eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance. Candidates can be either a Contractor or a Direct Employee but must be located in New Mexico or willing to relocate.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Be a Sierra Peaks ambassador when interacting with customers and partners. Strive to develop relationships of trust and look for new project opportunities
  • Take a leadership role in developing the company’s LabVIEW programming style guide
  • Take a leadership role in developing QA processes for LabVIEW code review
  • Assist business development efforts in defining customer requirements, resource estimates, and initial system designs for proposed projects
  • Design systems and software solutions that accurately reflect requirements and provide innovative solutions to customer needs
  • Participate in all phases of systems and software development including initial customer consultation, requirements definition, analysis, design, implementation/programming, system integration, verification, validation, installation, and documentation
  • Take a leadership role in developing infrastructure, tools and processes to manage and capture software changes and releases
  • Conduct on site assessments, evaluations, surveys, requirements analysis, requirements definition, and technology prototyping
  • Consult with the customer throughout project development
  • Create and demonstrate prototypes to customers and potential customers
  • Provide training to customers about systems operation and maintenance
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a security clearance
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening test

Education and Experience:

  • Four-year degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of LabVIEW code development experience (full time)
  • NI Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) or sufficient LabVIEW programming skill to become certified
  • Experience with LabVIEW RT and FPGA
  • Experience with Automated Test Equipment and Data Acquisition systems
  • Experience with instrument control using NI VISA, GPIB, TCP/IP, Serial, and other communication protocols
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

Preferred:

  • 10 years of LabVIEW code development experience
  • NI Certified LabVIEW Embedded Developer (CLED)
  • NI Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA)
  • Working knowledge in TestStand, VeriStand, and DIAdem
  • Experience with NI Vision Development Module
  • Experience with other programming languages
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
  • Experience with embedded systems development
