The ideal candidate will assist with daily cashier duties, provide excellent customer service, and ensure smooth store operations, including closing procedures. Operate cash register accurately and efficiently. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions securely. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area. Answer customer inquiries and provide product information. Restock shelves and ensure product displays are neat and appealing. Assist in inventory counts and stock management. Follow all store policies, including age verification for alcohol sales. Support store opening and closing procedures. Ensure the store is secured and properly closed at the end of each shift, including cash reconciliation, securing the premises, and turning off equipment. Requirements: Previous retail or cashier experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic math skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle cash and operate a POS system. Must be at least 21 years old (or as per local laws for alcohol sales). Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs. Closing Responsibilities: Count and reconcile cash and receipts. Secure all cash and store valuables in accordance with store policies. Turn off lights and electronic equipment. Ensure all areas are clean and organized. Lock doors and set security alarms. Complete any required closing reports.
