Overview

The Anderson Region of Modern Woodmen is actively looking for a Managing Partner for each of our markets, to spearhead the continued development and leadership of a team of financial representatives. If you possess a Series 26 (or 24) License (if not, a minimum qualification is evidence of your completed SIE certification) and harbor a strong desire to lead and foster a team, then this opportunity could be an excellent match worth exploring!

• Ryan Anderson - Regional Director
  • Personal Background: Devoted husband and father of two children.
  • Outside Interests: Enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, as well as watching Fighting Illini sports.
  • Professional Journey: Graduated from the University of Illinois and immediately began a career with MWA in 2007.
  • Vision at Modern Woodmen: Found a supportive home in a region that prioritizes people, offers a judgmentfree environment, and empowers families to build better lives.
• Jon Ostler - Managing Partner
  • Began his career with Modern Woodmen in 2013.
  • Previous industry: Manufacturing in the heat sensor and alarm industry before joining MWA.
  • Personal: Enjoys spending time with his wife, five kids, and two grandkids. Loves ATV riding, fishing, camping, and cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs, inspired by Coach Andy Reids leadership and alignment with LDS values.
• Terry Downs - Financial Representative
  • Started with Modern Woodmen in 2004.
  • Had a very successful career as a top salesman at a local phone store before starting with MWA.
  • Personal: Very passionate and committed to career growth and wanting to help the younger generation grow in their career and prosper financially.
• Doug Hunt - Financial Representative
  • Began with Modern Woodmen in 2009.
  • Prior roles: high school teacher and coach, and ran own tree service business.
  • Personal: Very passionate about spending time with his family and working with his kids to get ahead. Enjoys running, biking, fishing, and watching college sports.

Qualifications

• Ability and Desire to recruit, train and develop new financial representatives.
• Teamspirited, enthusiastic, and possessing a great attitude when facing challenges.
• Experience as a former athlete (basketball, baseball, football, soccer, track, running, hockey, diving, rugby, lacrosse, swimming, triathletes, golf, tennis, pickleball, coach, athletic trainer, fitness trainer, etc.) is a bonus.
• Genuine and authentic, with a willingness and drive to do what it takes to contribute and achieve the goal at hand.

Required Active Financial Licenses

• SIE Certification
• Series 6, 63 License
• Life / Health License
