Obstetric (OB) Hospitalist/Obstetric Emergency Department (OB ED) Physician (MD/DO)

Inova Health is expanding its Women's Health services and is seeking an outstanding OB/GYN physician to join Inova Women's Hospital at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus. This versatile position includes working primarily as an OB Hospitalist or as an Obstetric Emergency Room physician, with preferences accommodated as possible. The two roles are separate but will cross?cover each other as needed.

The ideal candidate will be seasoned, a great team player, and able to collaborate with multiple OB/GYN teams including Maternal?Fetal Medicine, private practice, medical students, and residents. Inova Womens Services has over 10,000 births annually and up to 20,000 across the system.

OB Hospitalist/OB ED Physician Responsibilities

• Serve as OB laborist and cover the Obstetric Emergency Department
• Provide labor & delivery care on the 33?bed Labor and Delivery Unit
• Collaborate with Inovas employed OB/GYN physicians to manage patients
• Supervise Certified Nurse Midwives
• Provide emergency obstetric care in the 13?bed Triage/OBED, accepting patients at any gestational age and up to six weeks postpartum
• Maintain inpatient practice

Minimum Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD or DO) from an accredited institution; board?eligible or board?certified in OB/GYN.
• Completed Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program.
• Current unrestricted medical license in the State of Virginia.

Location: 3300 Gallows Rd, Falls Church, VA 22042. All shifts day, mid?shift, and night. Applicants may be considered for full?time, part?time, and PRN positions.
