Senior Game Tester - QA job at Side in Charleston, SC. Job Overview: We are seeking a Senior Game Tester - QA for our new gaming studio in Charleston, South Carolina, servicing a major gaming client. This is an in-studio position; remote work is not available. Only local candidates or those willing to relocate to Charleston will be considered. No visa sponsorship will be provided. Requirements: 1-2 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance. Experience creating and executing test plans and test cases based on software requirements. Ability to write clear and detailed bug reports, test cases, and test tasks. Proficiency in manual testing for PC, console, and mobile games. Deep gaming experience on one or more platforms. Proficiency with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Azure, TestRail, Jira). Ability to review test notes, bug reports, and translate data effectively. Ownership of game features, understanding design updates thoroughly. Strong communication skills to interact with testers, developers, and clients. Experience in training and mentoring testers. Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure. Attention to detail to identify subtle issues impacting quality or functionality. Effective task prioritization and deadline management. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word). Responsibilities: Lead manual and automated testing of game builds. Develop, execute, and maintain test plans and cases for various game features. Ensure quality of testing features throughout their lifecycle. Report issues and provide feedback to improve user experience. Perform testing across PC, console, and mobile platforms. Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve bugs. Manage testing deadlines and communicate clearly to ensure quality delivery. Identify and address issues affecting game functionality and quality. Contribute to a positive team environment.
