Description The Nursing Assistant II (NA II) is an entry-level position specifically designed for current nursing students aiming to enrich their preparation for a nursing career. Under the guidance of an experienced nurse, you will acquire valuable hands-on experience by providing safe, efficient, age-specific care to patients and families in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and/or sustain optimal health status. The role is designed to build upon the experience gained in the classroom and during clinical rotations.
Responsibilities include: - Direct patient care delivery, including, but not limited to: ADLs/hygiene, Vital signs, I&O, Bladder scanning, EKG, Glucometer & other point of care testing (where applicable) and Restraints
- Communication and documentation of interventions and observations
- Participation in quality improvement process
- Involved in learning and self-improvement
- Initiates and maintains a positive relationship with patients/customers and coworkers

Qualifications: Qualifications - External Education Requirements - Enrollment in a Diploma RN, Associate or bachelor's degree of Nursing from an accredited program
- Successful completion of a Registered Nursing Fundamentals course required

Preferred Qualifications - Prior experience on a related unit or specialty in a practicum, internship or STNA/PCNA/NAII is preferred
