POSITION: Test Engineer

FULLTIME/PARTTIME: Fulltime

LOCATION: Orange County, CA

SCHEDULE: 40hrs – M-F

PAY RANGE: 90K – 110K DOE

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Test Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining software used in hardware test fixtures, collaborating closely with the hardware team to understand system requirements and ensure accurate test execution. This role involves extensive use of lab instrumentation such as data acquisition systems, multimeters, and source-measure units, along with writing and validating code to support hardware testing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Overseeing all software activities related to test fixtures—from requirements gathering to implementation, validation, and documentation. The Test Engineer will work with technicians to streamline testing processes, generate reports, and analyze test data to identify and help resolve hardware issues.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates should have a strong background in hardware testing and instrumentation, as well as software testing methods including unit, integration, and UI testing. The role requires proficiency in Python or similar languages, experience in test documentation, and familiarity with test equipment communication protocols like VISA and SCPI. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field and at least two years of experience in a similar role are required, with additional experience in GUI development, firmware/cloud/mobile testing, and FDA-regulated environments considered a plus.
