Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a CVICU Registered Nurse with NJ or compact RN license, ECMO and open heart experience required, for a float pool night shift assignment.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) within a float pool setting
• Night shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00-07:30)
• Floating required to ICU, IMC, helping hands, and the Ridgewood Observation Unit as needed
• Requires working with ECMO and open heart cases
• All RNs must pass a basic arrhythmia exam during orientation
• Modules must be completed during pre-start orientation and annually, tracked through facility systems
• Holiday time off is not approved for specific dates (11/26-11/29, 12/24-12/25, 12/31-1/1)
• Local candidates within 75 miles permitted at a lower local rate
• Team-based environment with expectation of floating between specified units
• Must review arrhythmia topics (Atrial, Junctional, Ventricular, Heart Blocks, Paced Rhythms) prior to start

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active NJ or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• ECMO and open heart experience required
• Must provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination series and booster
• One supervisory or manager reference from within one year of start date required
• Must begin lab work within two business days of acceptance
• Prior perm employees are not accepted for travel assignments
