\nRegistered Nurse - PCU
\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 36/36 or 36/48 schedule with rotating weekends
\n• No call responsibilities required
\n• Patient ratios of 1:5 for days, nights, and weekends
\n• Floating required to other units - must be competent in both Med/Surg and PCU
\n• Must have 1 year of nursing experience
\n• Accepts first-time travelers
\n• Required certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIH
\n• Must use Epic charting system
\n• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
\n• Handle patients with CVA, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, pre/post neurosurgery cases
\n• Perform wound care, oxygen administration, and use rapid response/code teams
\n• Must live 100 miles from facility
\n• 24 hours of orientation with 16 hours non-billable
\n• Participate in nursing student support and clinical education
\n• Hospital may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty based on census
\n• General orientation begins on Sundays with online CBLs
\n• Must complete drug test 12-14 calendar days prior to start date
\n• Facial hair must be trimmed for fit testing per CDC guidelines

\nThis medical center operates a 35-bed progressive care unit with a daily census of 33 patients. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. The organization emphasizes clinical education and expects nursing staff to actively participate in preparing future nurses for the profession alongside providing direct patient care.
