Grocery Clerk

Green Island Grocery is looking for part-time and full-time Grocery Clerks . We are looking for a reliable, energetic, and customer-focused Grocery Clerk to join our team. This role supports multiple departments including Produce, Frozen, Dry Foods, Wine & Beer, and Dairy. If you're dependable, customer-friendly, and enjoy a fast-paced retail environment, we’d love to have you on our team!

Pay: Starting at $12/hour, based on experience

The right candidate will have:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, and reaching
• Comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer environments
• Capable of pushing/pulling carts, pallets, and U-boats

Our Grocery Clerk will:

• Stock and rotate merchandise in Produce, Frozen, Dry Foods, Wine & Beer, and Dairy sections
• Ensure shelves are clean, organized, and well-stocked
• Assist customers with product inquiries and location guidance
• Monitor product freshness and remove expired or damaged items
• Receive deliveries and verify inventory accuracy
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in all assigned areas
• Support other departments as needed and assist with store opening/closing procedures
