Unarmed Security Officer Parking Lot Patrol

The Unarmed Security Officer is responsible for providing visible patrol and security presence in the Walmart parking lot. This role focuses on maintaining a safe environment for customers, employees, and property by deterring theft, monitoring suspicious activity, and responding to incidents in a professional manner.

Location: Walmart, 512 Jonesville Rd, Coldwater, MI 49036

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of the parking lot area on foot or by vehicle.
• Monitor and observe for suspicious activity, theft, disturbances, or safety hazards.
• Serve as a visible security presence to deter criminal activity.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents and emergencies.
• Document and report all security-related incidents in accordance with company procedures.
• Assist customers and employees with safety concerns when needed.
• Enforce site-specific rules, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

• Must meet State of Michigan requirements for unarmed security officers (Michigan Security Guard License/Registration or eligibility to obtain).
• Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain alert, observant, and professional at all times.
• Capability to stand, walk, and patrol outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality required.

Work Environment

• Outdoor environment (parking lot patrol).
• Exposure to weather elements year-round.
• Interaction with the public on a frequent basis.
